We are currently hiring for an exceptional contracts' professional for the role of Lead, Contracts, who will focus on end-to-end contracting, tendering and procurement processes for our mega development project in Egypt.We are looking for the following requirements in a preferred candidate:7+ years of experience in tendering and awarding contracts in real estate/ infrastructure / construction industry.In Depth knowledge of infrastructure contracting laws and other applicable contractual laws - FIDIC compliant.Bachelor of engineering with certification in contracts preferred.Job Responsibilities:Technical Tendering & RFP Execution:Inter-departmental Liaison: Communicate with relevant departments to define the materials or services required for project delivery and ensure the scope of work is fully captured.RFP Management: Own the end-to-end RFP process, including bid scoping, conditioning, technical and commercial evaluation, and shortlisting for award.Documentation Standard: Implement standardized tendering methods using QD templates and tools to facilitate rapid and consistent tender preparation.Inquiry Resolution: Draft technical responses to tender queries related specifically to the contractual, commercial, and financial aspects of the agreement.Contract Development & Vendor Oversight:Agreement Drafting: Prepare contract documentation that ensures clarity of scope, deliverables, and timing, utilizing the most compatible legal and commercial terms.Vendor Database Management: Oversee the maintenance of an accurate vendor database (Tier 1, 2, and 3), ensuring it reflects the latest pricing, delivery times, and performance scorecards.Negotiation Support: Assist in negotiations with contractors to ensure high-quality service is secured at the most effective price.Post-Award Processes & VariationsVariation Evaluation: Carry out the technical evaluation of all variations, change orders, or concession requests; prepare the formal submissions for the Tenders Committee.Contract Monitoring: Oversee the work of awarded contractors and consultants by liaising with project departments to ensure strict compliance with the contract terms.Financial Reporting: Prepare financial statements during the contract period detailing the financial position and spend-to-date for assigned departments.Escalation: Identify instances where contracts are not being adhered to and take necessary actions or escalate to management as required.Dispute Coordination & ControlConflict Review: Review disputes with contractors and recommend the best way forward to resolve issues to the satisfaction of both parties.Cross-functional Alignment: Liaise with Legal and Finance departments to ensure dispute management and control mechanisms are aligned with corporate policy.Data Integrity: Ensure the continuous update of contractor prices, receipts, and records of purchased goods within the system.
