Job ObjectiveEngineer responsible for leading automation initiatives within the production environment, supervising automation projects, ensuring optimal equipment performance, and supporting continuous improvement activities and automation maintenance. The role includes managing a team, coordinating with cross-functional departments, and ensuring that all automated systems meet safety, quality, and operational standards.Key responsibilityLead and supervise the automation engineering team at section level.Manage, develop, and execute automation projects to improve productivity, efficiency, and safety.Develop, test, and implement control system programs (PLC/HMI/SCADA).Conduct root-cause analysis for automation-related breakdowns and implement preventive actions.Support new production line installations, upgrades, and commissioning.Collaborate with maintenance, production, and quality departments to ensure smooth operation of automated systems.Manage budgets, timelines, and deliverables for automation initiatives.Ensure compliance with safety, quality, and regulatory standards.Evaluate new technologies and contribute to digital transformation initiatives (Industry 4.0, data monitoring, predictive maintenance).Provide training and coaching to technicians and junior engineers.Academic Experience RequiredBachelor's degree in electrical / communication engineeringProfessional Experience RequiredEssential: Minimum 8 years of engineering experience. Minimum 5 years of Automation engineering experience. Minimum 4 years of a leadership experience.Preferred: Pharmaceutical background. CMRB certified.Computing SkillsAdvanced PLC programming software.SCADA/HMI development tools.Strong knowledge of industrial networks and communication tools.Familiarity with CAD software (AutoCAD, EPLAN) for electrical diagrams.Good understanding of data analysis tools and manufacturing monitoring systems (MES, historians, Excel, Power BI).Basic understanding of Python, SQL, or other automation-related scripting languages is a plus.Personal SkillsDetail oriented.Strong follow up skills.Proven project management & supervision skills.Strong communication & interpersonal skills.Languages Written and spoken English and Arabic
