Key ResponsibilitiesTake a garment from concept to shelf by reviewing design work, developing a plan with the manufacturer, and ensuring that the finished product meets our quality standardsCollaborate with designers, manufacturers, vendors, and clients to ensure products meet or exceed all requirements Drive and evolve a Technical Design strategy including operations, methods, protocols, standards, and measures of effectivenessBuild audit mechanisms to consistently monitor and check fit, both pre- and post-productionDiscuss designs with the fashion designer to make practical compromises and implement design changes and making contingency plans as necessary to make sure that all designs are feasible for mass production.Analyze designs and determining required resources and project deadlines.Determine the best layout of pattern pieces to minimize waste of material. Follow up & visit manufacturers regarding models, quantities, colors & delivery dates and reporting back to senior management.Establish quality control standards and inspect final & finished products to ensure that they are free from defects.Handle a range of admin duties.QualificationsBachelor's degree in applied arts or related field2+ years of experience in homewear designs, production & handling manufacturersIn-depth understanding of design principles and the fashion industryMust have knowledge of patterns, fit and fashion designManufacturer management skills & experience with travel possibilityMust be advanced User in Tools such as Gerber & Gemini Software.Excellent verbal and written communication skills Strong negotiation and interpersonal skills Ability to multitask, prioritize, and manage time efficiently Deadline-driven and committed to qualityAccurate and precise attention to detail Self-motivated and self-directed
