Day-to-day tasks include recording and monitoring plant expenses and revenues, preparing daily, weekly, and monthly financial reports, and reconciling inventory, production, and cost data. The role involves tracking raw material usage, supporting budgeting and forecasting, and ensuring accurate cost allocation for products and operations. The Plant Accountant will collaborate with operations, procurement, and management teams to maintain financial accuracy, support audits, and ensure compliance with company policies and relevant regulations.Qualifications Strong accounting and bookkeeping skills, including general ledger management, account reconciliation, and cost accounting.Proficiency in financial reporting and analysis, with the ability to prepare clear, accurate statements and performance summaries.Experience with ERP or accounting software and solid MS Excel skills (formulas, pivot tables, and basic data analysis).Knowledge of inventory control, production costing, and operational finance in a manufacturing or industrial environment.Attention to detail, strong organizational skills, and the ability to manage multiple deadlines in a plant setting.Effective communication and collaboration abilities to work with cross-functional teams on-site.Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; professional certifications are an advantage.Prior experience as a plant, cost, or industrial accountant is preferred; familiarity with the construction or ready-mix sector is a plus.
