The role focuses on building, maintaining, and enhancing production-ready platforms that host applications across multiple Vodafone markets, with a strong emphasis on Kubernetes, containerisation, cloud technologies, service reliability, and application lifecycle management. The successful candidate will contribute to secure, scalable, and reliable solutions while supporting operational excellence and continuous improvement initiativesWhat you’ll doDesign, implement, and support DevOps and deployment solutions across global environments.Lead migration, upgrade, and release activities for supported platforms and applicationsAdminister and optimise Kubernetes, Docker, and API management environments. Maintain application and server availability across UNIX/Linux and Windows platforms. Monitor, troubleshoot, and resolve incidents and service requests within agreed service levels. Investigate and resolve database-related issues across supported environments. Collaborate with vendors and internal stakeholders to deliver sustainable technical solutionsMaintain technical documentation, knowledge repositories, and operational procedures. Contribute to process improvements, automation initiatives, and operational efficiencies.Support service management practices and ensure compliance with operational processes and standards. Who you areExperience with Kubernetes and container orchestration technologies. Strong knowledge of Docker and microservices architecture.Familiarity with Kafka and distributed application environments. Experience with databases such as PostgreSQL, DynamoDB, and Cassandra. Knowledge of Python, Ruby, or Go programming languages is highly desirable. Understanding of AWS cloud services is advantageous.Strong UNIX/Linux administration skills.Knowledge of infrastructure technologies including DNS and proxy services.Troubleshooting, problem-solving, and service management capabilities.Experience with ITIL practices, Remedy, or related service management platforms is beneficial.
